It's going to be a tough two weeks, waiting to see who goes and who stays. My worst fear is Schmidt going to the White Sox, Yankees, or about 15 other teams who need a new arm. Who else is up on the potential block?

God knows at this point. Knowing the Yankees, they'll try the hardest.

I'm going out a limb and saying that Schmidt isn't going anywhere(or is is just wishful thinking?). I wouldn't be surprised if Rueter and Tomko were being shopped though. Maybe a package deal involving Durham too. The way Sabes works, the only time you know something's going on is after it happens or falls through.

Personally, I want Feliz gone. I'm tired of him swinging and missing at ball 4 in clutch situations, and hitting home runs when they don't mean a thing in the game. Yesterday being one of the only exceptions to that.

I think it would be the dumbest move to trade Schmidt. Reuter needs to go - he doesn't have it anymore. But as far as pitching goes, I say dump Walker as soon as possible - he's done nothing but fuck up the team's chances of gaining momentum in the standings.

I really don't think we're gonna see any stars like Schmidt, Snow or Bonds leaving. The most intence trade I think the Giants are willing to do right now is Devi Cruz or maybe even Ray Duram. However, trading Ray would be a BAD idea. He's getting real hot, even though he's been goofing up alot this season. He's a good player. He needs to stay.

I'd have to agree with you and Feliz, but I'm starting to think he's a better third basemen then Alfonzo. A better hitter too. Alfonzo was good, but he's been getting dry. I think he might be traded since he's on the DL and not hitting very well as well as slow at third recently.

According to the newspapers around the country big name players are less likely to be leaving the Giants.

If you look here:
http://www.prosportsdaily.com/mlb/giants/rumors.html
You can see most of the headlines around the country related to trade rumors.

One article has Sabean looking at Jason Jennings while trading one of our backup OFs (most likely Grissom and/or Sanchez) or possibly fro Durham. But Durham's value has almost doubled in the last couple weeks with his recent increase in offensive production from both sides of the plate.

I now expect that the gianst will remain mostly intact. Our prices are too high for Schmidt, Alfonzo, Snow and Durham and our needs have been mostly addressed by rookies out of AAA (aka. Hennesy and Corriea).
